Professional

Whitney Shaw knows firsthand how challenging and fulfilling being a successful executive is, having overcome setbacks early in her career and rising to lead large scale transformations, mergers, and acquisitions and multi million-dollar transactions. Whitney was introduced to TEC when she became a Vice President of a publicly traded company at 27. With the help of her loyal TEC Chair and cohort, Whitney faced the new challenges of that role by leaning into her strengths and values.

Today, Whitney is an accomplished business leader who cares so deeply about supporting others to achieve their goals that she became a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) and Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She brings 15+ years of experience driving growth and innovation, building high-performance teams, and creating environments where people can develop and thrive. Holding multiple executive roles in construction, oil and gas, and software consulting industries has led to Whitney joining Gallagher as their current Vice President of Leadership, Assessment, and Development. Aside from her corporate experience, Whitney is also an active community member and serves on the board of directors of several organizations, including the Norwood Child & Family Resource Centre where she is the Chair of the Board of Directors, and the Fort Edmonton Management Company. Additionally, she sits on the advisory board of a privately held manufacturing company.

As a TEC Canada Chair, she brings her expertise and insights to help CEOs and business leaders navigate the challenges of running and growing a business. Her coaching and mentoring style is the key driver of success for her members.

Whitney’s extensive experience and passion for fostering others’ achievements make her an asset to the TEC Canada community and an exceptional coach and mentor for business leaders looking to take their organizations to the next level.
