“I am passionate about guiding my members through their blind spots, providing ideas and materials to enhance their life, and facilitating a “safe harbour” for important conversations unique to the needs and challenges of business leaders.”
Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
With over 25 years of senior leadership in a variety of industries such as distribution, manufacturing, advertising, environmental, waste management, pulp and paper, and forestry, I bring a diverse range of experience to the table.
Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives through building and motivating cross-functional teams. In addition to my financial competence, I have held a wide range of leadership roles including President, CEO, and Director of Business Development. My approach transcended the traditional financial role responsibilities by focusing on creating a trusting environment, challenging norms, and being a catalyst for positive change.
My leadership philosophy places a strong emphasis on creating continuous learning environments and the mentoring of others, which ultimately led me to join TEC. As a TEC KEY Executive member for 19 years, I have personally witnessed how the program’s ability to deliver on its value proposition to all members in my TEC KEY group. Inspired by my professional and personal growth I experienced, as well as the impact TEC had on others, I transitioned into the role of a TEC Chair. In this role, I am passionate about guiding my members through their blind spots, providing ideas and materials to enhance their life, and facilitating a “safe harbour” for important conversations unique to the needs and challenges of business leaders.
Personally, I call Vancouver my home, where I am happily married to my wife. I am also a Charted Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA). Outside of work, I am involved in minor sports as player, coach, and manager. Additionally, I am a lover of animals- especially Truman, my Labrador retriever.
