Michael Watt is a highly skilled coach and mentor, having spent decades building high-performance teams in business. Having benefitted from being a TEC Canada member for nearly a decade, Michael has recently transitioned his corporate career to a part-time role to assume the position of a TEC Chair to cultivate the power of a peer group for fellow business leaders in the Niagara, ON region.
Michael began his professional career as a consulting engineer where he worked on waste projects across Canada. For the last 15 years, Michael has served as the Executive Vice President of the Environmental Division at Walker Industries, where he oversaw a wide portfolio of businesses in the environmental field. His specialization in P3 (Public-Private Partnerships) with municipalities and strategic joint ventures has led to him successfully starting and scaling new businesses in various industries. He currently serves on two Corporate Boards and is a Board Member of the Ontario Clean Water Agency.
Michael is a dedicated volunteer in the Niagara community and currently serves as Chair of the YMCA of Niagara as well as the Capital Planning Committee of the Niagara Health System. Additionally, Michael was the founding President of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce and the Niagara Health Foundation.

Personal
- Michael is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of Ontario.
- Michael was raised in Scotland and moved to Canada in 1981 with his wife Christine.
- His daughter Meghan has settled back in the UK and works as a CA with Deloitte in the Cardiff office, where Michael frequently now visits.
- He is an avid athlete, often biking and running in his spare time, and plays and sings in a well-known Niagara rock band
