Michael’s Topics

“Best Performance by an Executive in a Leading Role” builds on Michael Allosso’s “You On Your Best Day,” starting with a review where returning members share their experiences and new members identify their communication needs. Members receive feedback on delivering both good and bad news effectively, with a focus on seamless transitions between personal and professional life. The program offers two options: preparing a short speech for a specific audience with feedback from peers and Allosso, or engaging in improvisational exercises to tackle leadership and communication challenges. A virtual version of the presentation is also available, emphasizing leadership in times of crisis and virtual communication.
In this interactive session, Michael Allosso uses role-playing exercises to help business people enhance their communication and leadership skills by drawing parallels between actors and corporate executives. The presentation covers key aspects such as demonstrating passion and energy, generating enthusiasm, leading teams, and mastering body language and tone. Participants will engage in exercises, receive immediate feedback, and leave with tools to improve their speaking and leadership in both planned and spontaneous situations. A virtual version, especially relevant during the COVID-19 crisis, focuses on adapting these principles for effective leadership in times of crisis and virtual communication.
In this hands-on presentation, Michael Allosso compares the preparation and performance of actors with corporate executives, helping business professionals develop dynamic communication skills for both presentations and everyday interactions. Through practical exercises, participants will learn to demonstrate passion, energy, clarity, and charisma, while mastering body language, tone, and team-building techniques. The session emphasizes relaxation, concentration, and thinking outside the box, offering actionable tools to improve meetings and boost productivity. A virtual or hybrid version is also available, focusing on motivating teams and communicating effectively in today’s digital world.
In this workshop, participants choose a topic and audience, with a preferred length of three to five minutes, allowing for light or serious content, real or imagined, past or future. After presentations, members provide feedback, while Allosso also offers insights to both the speaker and feedback givers. Depending on the session length, only a few members may present. For those preferring no “prepared” work, improvisational exercises are included to push participants out of their comfort zones, connecting creativity with leadership and communication challenges. A virtual version of this workshop is also available.
In this session, groups continue exploring the 35 Secret Weapons not covered in previous visits, starting with a review and an exercise. After the review, members choose between two options: preparing a short 3-5 minute speech or presentation for an audience of their choice, or participating in improvisational acting exercises to push them outside their comfort zones. Feedback is given to both the speaker and the feedback providers, with Allosso offering insights. For those opting for improvisation, the exercises are connected to leadership and communication challenges. A virtual version of the workshop is also available.
