Throughout my career as a leader, I’ve adhered to a guiding motto: “There is no one person in this room smarter than all of us in this room.”
Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
I am a seasoned leader with a strong track record of helping smaller and mid-sized Canadian companies achieve remarkable growth. With over 15 years of dedicated focus on these businesses, I’ve consistently guided them to achieve double-digit growth in both sales and EBITDA through collaborative efforts.
Prior to this, I held the position of CEO in three large Canadian companies, each with sales exceeding $400 million. During my tenure, these companies experienced annual double-digit growth in both sales and EBITDA, reflecting my prowess in developing and executing growth strategies.
My strengths lie not only in strategic leadership but also in my role as a mentor and developer of talent. I have a natural inclination toward working with people, from selecting exceptional employees to nurturing their growth and witnessing their flourishing careers.
Driven by my passion for coaching and mentoring business leaders across diverse industries, I made the pivotal decision to become a TEC Canada Chair, with my own experiences reinforcing the significance of its role. I understand that being an owner or CEO can be an isolating journey, with moments of doubt and uncertainty about strategy and decision-making. Through my TEC peer advisory group, I help business leaders navigate these challenges, make informed decisions, and alleviate the inherent isolation that often accompanies their roles.
On a personal note, I am a well-rounded professional with a rich array of credentials. I hold the title of FCPA and have earned an MBA, in addition to being recognized as a Chartered Director. I am an avid history buff, with a particular passion for delving into the complexities of WW1 and WW2. I love to spend time on the golf course, and some days I even play it well!
