TEC Canada CEO and Key Executive Chair
“It is the members who are accountable for their own learning and for taking action that get the most out of TEC. We welcome CEOs and owners who are ambitious, authentic, self-aware and want to make a difference.”
Chuck Homer is an experienced company president and CEO who earned his stripes in the trenches and brings a wealth of different experiences to his role as TEC Chair. His extensive experience running organizations has enabled him to develop a keen knack for strategy, marketing and finance. Over the years he has honed his skills in leadership, facilitation and coaching – always learning by doing and by challenging himself.
Previously, Chuck served as president and CEO of GSW Inc. – a $250 million multi-divisional, publicly traded manufacturer of home improvement products – where he successfully restored growth in sales, led the development of a new strategy and oversaw the implementation of key marketing and operational initiatives.
Prior to this, Chuck was President of LePage’s Limited, a $50 million leader in consumer adhesives and sealants in Canada. During his ten years in this role, he built a dominant, profitable company through strong leadership and a commitment to delivering customer value.
Previously, Chuck worked with Unilever as general manager of Shopsy’s Foods and in a variety of marketing and sales management roles in Canada and London, England.
Chuck has been a Chair with TEC in the Greater Toronto Area since 2000. He is passionate about ensuring that members are engaged and learning by encouraging dynamic, challenging conversation and a free flow of ideas. He holds members’ feet to the fire, challenging them to take action and move to the next level. Most members have been a part of his groups for at least four years, with some exceeding ten years.
Until recently, in addition to his Chair duties, Chuck ran a consulting business, INNOVA Performance Solutions, which specialized in strategy and human resources solutions for medium-sized, entrepreneurial companies.
