A Little Bit About Me
As a TEC Chair, I value the opportunity to help business leaders think through their most important decisions. My perspective has been shaped by more than three decades of leadership across industries, cultures, and countries. I have learned that the most important business decisions are rarely about one issue alone – they are shaped by the interaction of people, strategy, finance, technology, geopolitics, and the external environment. My role is to help leaders see those connections and make decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
My career has taken me from engineering and helping entrepreneurs build successful businesses to more than twenty-three years of executive and board leadership with Heidelberg Materials, a German-based global building materials company. Working alongside entrepreneurs taught me that sustainable success is built on trust, disciplined execution, and influence rather than authority. I later led strategic growth, major investments, and business transformation across international markets.
Beginning again as an international student, an expatriate executive, and later a newcomer to Canada broadened my understanding of people, organizations, and cultures while reinforcing the importance of curiosity and lifelong learning. After an international executive career, I chose to begin a new chapter in Canada to reunite with my family. Today, alongside my role as a TEC Chair, I support business leaders and families through TheGrowthEdge, helping them make better decisions that create stronger organizations, stronger families, and enduring legacies.
Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from spending time with my wife, Shrabani, and our two sons. I am a lifelong learner with a deep interest in leadership, philosophy, business, and personal growth. I recently completed my first book, Churning the Inner Ocean: An Allegorical Journey of Clarity and Refinement, which explores inner clarity, deeper understanding, and personal growth through timeless wisdom.
