Todd Musselman is the owner of Timberline Leadership, founded in 2009 with the mission of driving positive transformation for individuals, teams, and organizations. With over 25 years of experience, Todd combines his background as a business owner, director of sales, and sales representative to deliver measurable results in cultural change, sales training, motivational speaking, and executive/life coaching. Having worked in his family-owned business, Todd served in various roles, including director of sales, where he managed 55 independent sales representatives across the U.S. and Canada. He also built and maintained a client base of over 350 retail businesses and played a key role in product development, marketing strategy, personnel management, and board governance. Todd holds a BA in Sociology from Colorado State University, graduating in 1986.

In this presentation, Todd Musselman breaks down the 10 Elements of a Highly Effective Team, using real-life examples and stories from his experiences as a business owner and entrepreneur. The training covers each element individually and collectively, offering interactive, team-building exercises that help members evaluate their leadership, both personally and professionally. The 10 elements include trust, shared purpose, communication, agreements, acknowledgment, commitment, accountability, conflict, collaboration, and alignment, all essential to creating high-performing teams. Todd uses simple, replicable models and lessons from various industries to provide participants with the tools needed to enhance their team’s performance, foster ownership, and drive results.

Todd’s workshop focuses on cultivating a mindset of personal ownership to enhance leadership skills, capabilities, and results. He uses the victim/owner distinction to highlight the difference between reacting to circumstances (victim mindset) and creating them (ownership mindset), demonstrating how each impacts leadership performance. Through a series of distinctions like “Have to” vs. “Want to” and “Pleasing” vs. “Serving,” the presentation teaches how to consistently choose the ownership mindset for lasting personal and professional results. The workshop also covers six key leadership areas—trust, integrity, communication, empowerment, accountability, and collaboration—using stories, humor, and experiential exercises to inspire and equip participants with the tools to drive powerful results in their lives.
