Pack4U Acquires Leading Pharmacy Technology Company Catalyst Healthcare
Founded by TEC member Shane Bishop, Pack4U – a tech-enabled health services company – has acquired Bishop’s firm Catalyst Healthcare. The latest investment to addresses the $528 billion annual cost of non-optimized medications. Read the full press release.
TEC Member Featured in “Premieres en affaires” Magazine
Premières en Affaires magazine – a designated women’s platform for economic news – recently featured Mina Farinacci, Managing Partner in Quebec at BDO Canada and TEC member. Mina Farinacci was appointed Office Managing Partner (“OMP”) of BDO Canada for the Quebec Province in January 2017. After gaining experience in the real estate industry, she joined BDO’s MontrĂ©al assurance and accounting team in 1996 and was appointed partner in 2008. Check out the full feature on Pg 41.
TEC Member Among Olympian Families for Canada’s Bronze Medallists
“There’s never been a doubt that (going to the Olympics) was part of her destiny and when she was six and a half she didn’t know what the Olympics were, but that was when the seed was planted,” said Kristan Strate, President & CEO at Synergy HR Consulting and TEC member, about her daughter Abigail. Kristan’s daughter, Abigail Strate, was among Canada’s bronze medallists for mixed team ski jumping at the Beijing Winter Olympics in Zhangjiakou, China. TEC members Roberta Mantenuto (Cofounder of Aria Vent Inc.) and Eric Battiston (Chief Operations Officer at Aria Vent Inc.) were awarded first runner-up for The Home Depot Innovation Partner of the Year for 2021. TEC Member Honoured From University of Waterloo
Olga Pawluczyk – CEO of P&P Optica Inc. (PPO), a food information company that ensures food is safe and of the highest quality – was recognized this month by her university with the Individual Alumni Achievement Medal. Recently, under Olga’s leadership, PPO created a Smart Imaging System for assessing food quality and safety through identifying foreign objects at line speed in real time. The technology has been tested in leading food plants throughout Canada. Read more.
