TEC Chair Kevin Brown believes in transformations, both personally and professionally. His 30+ years of executive experience in Information Technology across a variety of business sectors is a testament to his ability to embrace change.
Kevin is known as both a builder and transformer of management teams. His career began in online banking and then moved into the utilities arena, where he was Director, Vice President and CIO in both Edmonton and Calgary. His willingness to say ‘yes’ to new challenges has defined his career.
This can-do philosophy meant leading many new emerging technology initiatives. Some of these achievements include Online Banking in the 70s, Desktop Computing in the 80s, Distributed Computing and Enterprise Resource Planning in the 90s, enabling business strategy and Y2K preparations, and then to a focus on e-business.
His strategic ability to apply emerging technologies to solve high-level business challenges has positioned him well in his current roles as a business strategy consultant and executive leadership coach.
He currently provides leadership in developing enterprise business strategy and plans, then focuses organizations on successful delivery against business strategy.
