Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
With over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and entrepreneurship, I have become a seasoned executive with a proven track record. I have demonstrated leadership in overseeing sales and acquisitions in excess of $20M while ascending to the role of Controller at several Winnipeg automotive dealerships. My ability to simplify complex accounting concepts for non-finance team members have been vital to my success, earning the trust and respect of functional, operational, and executive leaders throughout Manitoba and beyond.
My entrepreneurial spirit has been evident since my teenage years when I founded my first business selling knife blocks door-to-door. I had a natural talent for customizing my products to meet my customer’s needs, which allowed me to quickly grasp the pricing of raw materials and labour. This early success propelled me to launch and scale two thriving companies serving Western Canada. My first enterprise grew from a single table at a craft sale to distribution throughout the region in just three years. The second venture started as an environmentally friendly toy website to becoming a supplier to daycares and before-and-after programs across Manitoba. My unwavering passion for empowering entrepreneurs led me to establish a coaching practice in 2019, dedicated to helping them reach peak performance, especially in high-pressure and challenging circumstances.
As a TEC Chair, I extend my impact by leveraging my wealth of experience and unique perspective to drive the power of peer advisory for business leaders and entrepreneurs, creating meaningful and lasting change. Holding certifications such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), International Coaching Federation’s Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and Certified Positive Intelligence Coach (CPQC), I provide valuable insights, guidance, and support to every business leader at the table, enabling them to reach their full potential and maximize their impact.
On a personal note, I enjoy many outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing. I am proud of my Métis heritage, and playing guitar in a group. Additionally, I teach accounting and business-related courses at the UofW and the MTEC, and find pleasure in guiding people through relationship recovery through group workshops.
