“I believe that in today’s world, it is as important for a CEO to be skillful in the art of listening, communication, and coaching as it is to be able to read financials or interpret data and trends.”
Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
My passion lies in people and achieving meaningful results. As an experienced senior executive and coach, I believe that in today’s business landscape, effective communication, mastering the art of listening, and effective coaching are just as crucial as reading financials or interpreting data and trends.
I served as the Executive Vice President for Blockbuster, overseeing 1,200 franchised stores and 111 franchisees. My experience extends to Chevron Oil, where I launched a successful C-store concept, and led all human resources functions at the $1.7 billion Panda Restaurant group, successfully developing them into an employer of choice. As well, I am also a master coach, working with Fortune 500 enterprises and mid-sized privately held firms, where I coached founders and senior executives in topics spanning from business diagnostics to emotional intelligence.
As a TEC Chair, my leadership style is open and invitational, making it an excellent fit for leaders who wish to not only grow their competencies but also their 21st century leadership skills. I envision an atmosphere where members feel free to bounce ideas off each other and process issues in an environment of trust and unselfish collaboration.
On a personal note, I reside in Oakville with my wife and my three dogs and two cats. I enjoy singing, having great conversations, and playing golf. As a Master Coach from the Hudson Institute, my commitment to coaching and leadership development extends beyond the professional realm.
