Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
As a TEC Chair, I bring over 25 years of leadership experience across diverse sectors, including corporate, not-for-profit, public, and entrepreneurial environments. I specialize in supporting senior executives, business leaders, and entrepreneurs through transformative growth and change, helping them achieve both personal and professional goals. With an MBA in Organizational Cultural Change, and as a certified executive coach (CEC) and International Coaching Federation (ICF) qualified, I combine coaching, mentorship, and organizational development to support leaders in navigating complex challenges, unlocking their untapped potential, and driving sustainable growth.
I am passionate about achieving results through people. My approach is centered on empowering individuals to realize what they once thought unachievable. By providing guidance and support, I help leaders break through barriers, discover their true potential, and achieve breakthrough results.
My career spans a range of leadership roles, including Executive Director of the world’s largest co-op education program at the University of Waterloo, senior positions at MTS Allstream and CIBC, and founding two businesses. My most recent venture, Beinn Leadership, focuses on executive coaching and leadership consulting, where I help leaders and organizations overcome hurdles and achieve impactful, sustainable growth. Earlier, I launched and grew a profitable real estate business in the UK.
Notably, I played a key role in tripling the size of Waterloo’s co-op education program, which is now recognized globally as a leader in its field. At MTS Allstream, I developed a talent management strategy that earned national recognition as one of Canada’s Top Employers. I also established an impactful training and development division for a major UK bank, demonstrating my ability to lead international ventures and diverse teams.
Beyond my professional roles, I am committed to fostering collaboration and mentorship. I have served on provincial and national boards across Canada and the U.S., including as President. I enjoy creating environments where leaders openly engage, challenge each other, share insights, and drive both personal and professional growth.
Within my TEC group, I bring people together forming a community to cultivate a dynamic, collaborative, and confidential space that empowers members to hold each other accountable, embrace diverse perspectives, and overcome obstacles. I believe in fostering a supportive, fun, and open environment where leaders can explore new opportunities, exceed their goals, learn and grow in all aspects of their lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, having fun at our cottage, long walks with our dogs, playing golf with friends, watching sports, travelling and being creative in the kitchen. I also volunteer with organizations focused on education, leadership development and nurturing future talent. I deeply value the balance between life and work, it’s something I prioritise – not only for myself but for every TEC member in my group as well.
