Paul Shewfelt has enjoyed a lifelong pursuit of taking businesses to new heights. From humble beginnings in rural Manitoba to nation-wide engineering & construction companies, Paul has seen it all. His education in engineering and finance paired with his love of building led him to pursue a career in construction management—a fast-paced line of work giving him valuable experience in managing moving milestones, agility in the workplace, and working toward deadline-driven goals.
This business environment taught him the importance of communication, collaboration, and teamwork. In the twenty years of successfully running and growing his own construction company, he embraced these concepts as being the foundations for success on delivering projects on time and on budget.
He brought the skills he developed with his own company to later take on the role of Vice President at multiple other companies in the construction industry. Paul focused on better communication and a commitment to improved productivity to enhance company-wide awareness of health & safety matters and the value of embracing diversity & inclusion. Leading by example, he coached and mentored leaders within the organization, helping them excel at what they do, improve stability, be more confident in their forecasts, and become more attractive as an employer of choice.
Members of Paul’s CEO Group can expect to become well equipped with the skills he has personally employed to take companies to new heights.
Believing that the best communication of your values lies in your actions, Paul’s passion is to provide guidance to leaders who are looking to promote growth within their companies by implementing intentional change. He embraces TEC’s values of trust, challenge, caring and growth, and has witnessed firsthand the development of leadership when it is encouraged, valued, supported, and rewarded.
