Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
As a globally connected leader, entrepreneur, and board member, I bring extensive expertise in business strategy, community and economic development, organizational development, and venture creation, successfully guiding hundreds of entrepreneurs through their start-up and growth journeys. Now, as a TEC Chair, I am eager to help founders and small business owners grow more strategically and efficiently.
I often say that my last day of work was December 31, 1989, because on January 1, 1990, I founded my first company dedicated to providing entrepreneurial training and development. Since then, my team and I have assisted over 1,200 entrepreneurs in launching their companies in Saskatchewan and Alberta through the Praxis School of Entrepreneurship, my post-secondary institute. In 2010, I expanded my offices to China, serving entrepreneurs wanting to operate in Saskatchewan. I also spearheaded and co-designed Saskatchewan’s first investment-based business plan competition- the Venture Forward $100k Business Plan Competition, which launched 30 companies over its five-year span.
I have devoted my career to partnering with entrepreneurs in delivering their programs, combining my member’s and my personal entrepreneurial experiences and that of my members to their training, coaching, and growth. My TEC group in the Saskatoon area provides an opportunity for business leaders to join and refine goals, perfect leadership skills, and create roadmaps to fulfill visions.
I firmly believe that it is my purpose in life to help entrepreneurs realize their capacity to create their desired futures and advance the power of entrepreneurship to transform the world all within a socially conscious framework.
On a personal note, I am married to my life and business partner, and we have four adult children (all entrepreneurs) and eight grandchildren (entrepreneurs in the making). My diverse interests include driving my tractor, continuing my journey with Egyptian dance, traveling, reading, spending time over coffee with family and friends, and creating sustainable projects on our land. Currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the Luthercare Communities Board, I am also a director on their two profit companies, a Senator and member of the non-academic misconduct hearing board of the U of S Senate, and a Member of the Provincial Education Committees.

Group Vision
Each of us can change the world. Every problem, challenge, or barrier we come upon is just an opportunity for us to stretch our creative muscles, most often with others, and find a way forward. These times and places are often the very moments that we discover the next best version of ourselves and therefore, our businesses.
