The DELTA Coach of the Year award celebrates a TEC Chair who generously invests their time in mentoring, coaching, and sharing their experiences to foster the success of their peers. Recipients of this award go the extra mile in helping new Chairs to launch by ensuring that they have the resources and support to make a meaningful impact on the lives of their members.

Established in 2011, the Red Shoe Award serves as a way to recognize and celebrate the dedication and passion of a TEC Chair who exceeds expectations in enhancing the experiences of their members, fellow Chairs, and the TEC Community. The recipient is a Chair who ventures beyond traditional boundaries, exemplifying innovation, and creativity, and isn’t afraid of pushing the boundaries while upholding the TEC brand.

We are thrilled to introduce the Platinum Chair Award, a coveted new honour recognizing exemplary TEC Canada Chairs. To earn this award, a Chair must lead multiple groups, including both Small Business and CEO groups, with all groups consistently meeting TEC’s standards of excellence. At least two of these groups must also achieve Master Chair status, with an average of 15 or more members. The recipients embody TEC’s core values and uphold its legacy of leadership. We proudly celebrate Paul Hunt, Carlos Fox, Louis-Samuel Jacques, and Lori Ell as the inaugural class of Platinum Chairs!

This prestigious award, accompanied by the title of Chair Emeritus, is reserved for exceptional Chairs whose unwavering dedication and contributions truly embody TEC’s core values and vision.
We are thrilled to announce the 2024 recipient of the TEC Canada Hall of Fame Award: Dr. Steve Marks! A trailblazer since 1987, Dr. Marks founded TEC Canada’s first group outside of Calgary, and in 1992, he launched the first-ever KEY Executive Group in Canada. Based in Vancouver, he has spent over 37 years empowering leaders across the Greater Vancouver area to overcome roadblocks, build trust, and foster cultures of openness and creativity. With deep expertise in group facilitation, conflict resolution, and strategic planning, Dr. Marks has profoundly shaped the TEC community, setting a standard of excellence and dedication that continues to inspire. Join us in celebrating Dr. Marks’ remarkable achievements and lifelong commitment to elevating Canadian leadership.

Dr. Tanner brought the TEC model to Canada in 1985, establishing a powerful platform where business leaders could come together to learn, grow, and achieve shared success. Since its establishment in 2015, the Achievement Award has recognized TEC Canada’s top-performing Region or Province—honouring a group of Chairs who exemplify TEC’s core values of collaboration and outstanding performance.
In 2024, the Atlantic Region achieved over 50% growth, launching three new groups in the past year, two of which were led by new Chairs, with two additional Chairs recruited and building their own groups. This diverse and expansive region is creating new possibilities for TEC’s growth, driven by local collaboration and events. For the first time ever, a well-deserved congratulations goes to the Atlantic Region!

Group Launch Award
The Group Launch Award is presented to TEC Chairs who successfully launch their groups within six months from the start of the group-building process. For new Chairs, this period begins once they complete their Chair training. Active Chairs with established groups are also eligible if they complete a launch within the timeline outlined in their Business Plan.

This award is presented to Chairs who have provided exceptional value based on some of the following criteria:
An average group size of 13 or more over the fiscal year. Retention equal to or better than 80% in the stated period. They exemplify and demonstrate TEC values.

Master Chair Award
The Master Chair Award is awarded annually to a Chair who has shown exceptional commitment to their Chair practice.
They have been a TEC Canada Chair for a minimum of 3 years. Have an average of 14 members or more through the year, while maintaining exemplary performance standards. Have a group retention equal to or better than 90%, and Chairs must exemplify and demonstrate TEC values.
