Lara’s Topics
Success in business is deeply influenced by our mindset, which is shaped by our beliefs—both conscious and unconscious—that often limit us. Beliefs like “The economy can’t sustain my business” or “I can’t do this” arise in times of stress, even though we may know they’re not true. By using inquiry, I challenge these assumptions, allowing my wiser self to take control and guide my actions with clarity, compassion, and humor. This practice clears the mind and reveals the right course of action, helping to reduce stress and improve decision-making. In this session, I’ll introduce inquiry to help members identify and challenge limiting beliefs, providing tools for them to lead with greater ease, creativity, and clarity. Having taught inquiry for over 10 years in military, medical, and business settings, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is in restoring leaders to a position of strength and insight.
Leaders today are expected to demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence, creativity, and compassion, especially in times of stress. However, many leaders are struggling with stress and burnout themselves. The 21-day challenge was designed to improve emotional intelligence quickly by first helping participants understand how the mind—our life’s operating system—works. This knowledge boosts self-awareness and personal power. The challenge also offers short, scientifically validated daily practices, taking less than 10 minutes, that shift the mind from anxiety and fear to focus, creativity, and joy. The added element of accountability with partners ensures success while fostering a sense of connection and camaraderie within the group.
Dr. Lara Patriquin uses Transformative Inquiry to help business leaders overcome obstacles in both their professional and personal lives, such as limiting beliefs about their capabilities, market conditions, or employee relationships. In a two-step process, she helps participants identify and challenge their limiting thoughts, promoting a peaceful, creative mindset that fosters innovation and clear communication. Key topics include the neuroscience of self-talk, the fight or flight response, and how to turn obstacles into opportunities. Dr. Patriquin combines scientific insights with personal experience to teach participants a technique they can use anytime they face challenges to their success. *Program can be delivered in French.
