Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
My journey began at St. John’s College, Oxford University, where I studied History and developed strong analytical skills, particularly the ability to evaluate diverse sources and form my own perspective—a skill that has been crucial throughout my career.
I discovered my passion for marketing and strategy while working with global companies like Unilever and Reckitt & Colman, where I eventually became Head of Marketing for a key European division. This experience led me to pursue new challenges, so I founded my own strategic and marketing consultancy. After moving to North America, I helped market a natural ingredient business targeting food processors. In a few years, I played a key role in growing the Braes Group, establishing production units in the UK, Europe, and North America, generating around £50 million in revenue.
Having worked across different industries and cultures in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and India, I’ve come to realize that the fundamental business challenges are similar, regardless of location or sector.
I currently serve as an Operating Partner with Red Swan Partners, an M&A advisory firm specializing in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector. I apply my experience in marketing, business development, and operations to help companies navigate mergers and acquisitions, focusing on identifying growth opportunities and optimizing strategies.
Throughout my career, I’ve benefited from mentors who helped me unlock my potential. Now, as a TEC Chair, I focus on creating a supportive environment where members share personal and business challenges, fostering mutual growth. Our core belief is: “We only succeed when we all succeed.”
On a personal note, I’ve been married for over 25 years. I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews, who are spread across four continents, and I have a keen interest in discovering new wines. I’m also a long-suffering fan of Reading FC and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

My TEC
Group Vision
I seek to create a diverse group with willingness to share personal or business issues as well as listen to and absorb new thoughts and approaches. I liken my group to a family, fractious at times but ultimately totally supportive of each other. I hope to draw support from their unique expertise and capabilities.
