“I know firsthand the impact TEC can have—helping leaders move from action-oriented management to a more balanced, strategic, and people-focused approach that drives both business and personal success.”
Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
As a TEC Chair, I draw on decades of leadership experience and my own journey as a former TEC member to guide a diverse group of business owners, presidents, and CEOs. I know firsthand the impact TEC can have—helping leaders move from action-oriented management to a more balanced, strategic, and people-focused approach that drives both business and personal success.
My career spans large public corporations, private equity ventures, start-ups, and family-owned businesses. At Magna International, I served as Vice President Manufacturing and, for a period, Interim Group President, overseeing 20 manufacturing and sales operations across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Leading at this scale sharpened my ability to navigate complexity, build strong cultures, and deliver results across diverse industries.
entrepreneurial foundation was built early, at 17, still in school in The Netherlands, my father handed me the keys to our family tire business and left for a two-week vacation. Running the business solo, in the pre-email, rotary-phone era, was nerve-racking but exhilarating, and it set the tone for my career.
Now, I create the same confidential, challenging, and supportive environment for my members that I once benefited from myself—helping them work through their biggest decisions, gain fresh perspectives, and grow as impactful leaders.
I live in Alliston, Ontario, with my wife, Diane. I enjoy camping, hiking, cycling, and exploring winding roads on my motorcycle, and I serve on my local condominium board to give back to my community.
