Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
I have forged a successful business career spanning diverse industry sectors, including transportation, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship. With a unique perspective gained from building a custom photo processing business from the ground up, I possess firsthand experience as a founder. I opened a new division from scratch providing training services to the transportation industry at Arnold Bros. Transport Ltd, achieving profitability within its first year of operation. My expertise extends to leading successful business integrations in the Biopharma industry and in hi-tech manufacturing that increased facility utilization by two and a half times and revenues by over 90% in three years in one case, and doubled revenues over less than two years in the second.
Demonstrating a commitment to building something greater than myself, I have played a key role in forming and nurturing executive and management teams. These teams have not only achieved success in revenue and profitability but have also laid the foundations for sustained future growth. As a TEC Chair, I bring my purpose-driven mindset and extensive experience as a Lean Blackbelt, facilitating growth and skill development for others in their careers. My passion lies in being part of a collective effort to build something beyond individual aspirations and helping others realize their untapped potential.
On a personal note, I am at home on the water, often seen exploring Lake of The Woods in Ontario from my cottage. As a licensed navigation officer, I have crossed the Great Lakes, Lake Winnipeg, the St. Lawrence River, and the North Atlantic, finding inner peace at the wheel of a vessel. I am an amateur woodworker and boat builder, having built and refurbished my own hydroplanes in the past. Later, I used these skills to construct and complete an off-the-grid lakeside cottage in Ontario, collaborating with my wife, the head designer, from foundation to kitchen cabinets. For most of my life, I have been an amateur photographer, once processing my prints in my own darkroom. While computer applications and digital cameras have replaced film, I continue to expand a family collection dating back to the 1860s.
