As a TEC Chair, I am very passionate to use my experience and skills to assist the rising generation of executives develop and enhance their leadership skills, and to mentor and support them in achieving their business, career and personal goals.

Over the course of my 40+ year career I have acquired a very unique blend of financial, executive management and governance expertise. This knowledge and expertise was gained primarily through my senior executive roles with Grant Thornton LLP, a national professional services firm, and then as President & CEO with Family Enterprise Canada. My professional training over my career has also broadened and enhanced my skills and expertise – as a CPA in terms of financial acumen and risk management; as an ICD.D in terms of corporate governance and strategy; and as an FEA (Family Enterprise Advisor) in terms of navigating the many challenges faced by family-owned businesses.

I feel very fortunate to have had such a rewarding career and feel excited and inspired today to share my knowledge and experience to support younger executives on their leadership journey.

On a personal level I am blessed to have an amazing family life. My wife and I devote most of our time just hanging out with our kids, their wonderful spouses and our three amazing grandkids.
