A Little Bit About Me
As a TEC Chair, I bring over 25 years of executive leadership and consulting experience across logistics, distribution, service, and construction industries. I’m passionate about helping business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders realize their personal and professional ambitions. By creating high-trust environments where they can expand their mindset, strengthen strategy, and grow together.
Today, I serve as Owner and Founder of MKL Business Consulting and CEO of GMK Strategic Solutions, a freight brokerage company. At MKL, I guide organizations through tailored strategies that streamline operations, elevate leadership, and drive scalable growth. My career has included leading large logistics and distribution networks with companies such as Wallace & Carey, Purolator, DHL, Rogers, and Brinks—optimizing warehouses, delivery systems, and quality standards to enhance both performance and service.
In a key executive turnaround role, I delivered $5M in annual savings through asset consolidation and strategic cost reduction, while generating $2.7M in new revenue by designing a national logistics network for high-value product distribution across Canada. My leadership has extended across North America, working with small and mid-sized businesses like Furnasman’s One Hour Heating and Cooling and MHTT Technicians to build systems that improve performance, drive revenue, and create long-term success.
Whether leading a Fortune 500 operation or a local service company, my focus remains the same: building systems that empower people, foster trust, and deliver sustainable results.
Outside of business, I’m deeply committed to community leadership. As Founder and President of Legacy Preparatory Basketball Academy, I help develop young athletes into confident leaders. I also serve on the Advisory Board for the University of North Dakota’s Customer Experience Program, supporting the next generation of business professionals.
What excites me most about being a TEC Chair is the opportunity to bring all of this experience to a community of growth-minded leaders. My TEC group is more than a place for business insight, it’s a confidential, supportive, and challenging space where CEOs and business owners can become the leaders their organizations, communities, and families need.
