Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
In my 35 years of business successes, I have come to view my successes as marathons, not sprints- a testament to my resilience in the face of challenge and change. Known for my positivity, I have built a reputation as a strong strategic thinker.
My career started in the agriculture department at CIBC, and from then on, I moved through the ranks in both small businesses and commercial banking. In 2002, I reached the pinnacle of my banking career as the Senior Representative in Saskatchewan and Director of Commercial Banking. Simultaneously, I actively contributed to over a dozen boards, where my most fulfilling experience as a Board Chair and then Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee was to modernize Information Services Corporation of Saskatchewan’s 100-year-old paper land titles systems. In this role, I transformed it from a $5 million-dollar loss to an over-sold IPO, converting the Crown Corporation into a publicly traded corporation.
My greatest strength lies in my ability to listen intently while ensuring the voices of all stakeholders are heard and valued. Employing strategic thinking techniques and adaptive strategies, I have played a crucial role in the success of my group members, helping them achieve results through influence and coaching. My goal is to foster an environment where members can proudly claim to have created significance in their lives and the lives of others.
On a personal note, I reside in Regina with my wife. I have been honoured with recognitions such as the Queen’s Silver Jubilee (2002) and Diamond Jubilee (2013) medals. Additionally, I have been recognized as one of Saskatchewan’s Men of Influence in 2003. My educational background includes a BSc. in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan, and I hold the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation from The Directors College, along with being a Certified Management Consultant.
