“The contribution my TEC group made to my business success can’t be measured, which is why I decided to go from being a TEC member to a TEC Chair.”
Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
If there is one thing I learned growing up in my traditional Italian family, it’s that I didn’t want to be traditional. I may not have known that I wanted to build a business right away, but I when I did, I know it fit me just right.
In 2003, after spending some time in the corporate HR field, I launched Clear Path Employer Services with my husband, Dave. We specialized in HR and Disability Management, and in 14 years we grew it into a nationally recognized service provider with 20 employees.
Our hard-earned success came to us the way it does for many entrepreneurs – through trial and error. It’s not exactly the most efficient way to learn business. I needed a competitive edge, and I found it with TEC.
As a TEC member I witnessed firsthand the profound impact of peer support for leaders. Both my chair and my group provided invaluable guidance during my transition before and after selling my company in 2017. The contribution my TEC group made to my business success can’t be measured, which is why I decided to go from being a TEC member to a TEC Chair. I fervently believe every CEO needs their own peer group to achieve a higher level of success not only in their business but also in their lives. It’s a privilege to create a group for others like me.
I continue to be a passionate advocate for the HR profession, serving on the local HRPA board and other charities. I want my life to be defined by the positive impact I make in the world. It’s an aspiration I share with Dave, and one that we passed onto our grown children, Noah and Kathryn.
I’ve already made a positive impact as entrepreneur. I intend to do it again as a TEC Chair, supporting other entrepreneurs. As a true entrepreneur at heart, I never stop dreaming about what I’ll do next. When I retire, I hope to open a yarn shop preferably in a small community near the water, and spending my days traveling the world with Dave, when I am not with my family, fellow knitting enthusiasts and my beloved “fur babies”.
To me, that’s the perfect balance of life and work, of business and creativity. I want it for myself as much as I want it for any TEC member who joins my group.
