Our Halifax/Dartmouth based group started earlier this year and we just completed our fourth session with Joe last week. It’s been a fantastic opportunity and Joe’s done a masterful job in bringing together a group of unique individuals from different experiences and backgrounds to learn, share and grow.

Joe is a big Irishman with an even bigger heart.  He has an unwavering discipline when serving TEC in Atlantic Canada.  His sense of compassion is equally matched by his ability to listen, retain information and provide council to his members. Joe is not a great Chair, he’s an amazing Chair.   I feel blessed to have Joe in my life, not only is he a great Coach and mentor, but he and his amazing wife Jennifer have become great friends of ours also.

Congratulations Joe

When I moved to Halifax in 2018, I was looking for a peer group to become acquainted with the local Nova Scotia business community. A member of TEC 397 suggested that I consider joining TEC and that I should meet with Joe Gillivan, the Chair. From the first meeting, I felt very welcomed by Joe and the group. My experience with Joe and our TEC group the past 6 years has been so beneficial to my business and personal well-being. Joe has served as a sage coach, always asking timely and pointed questions, and offering value and unwavering support to our group. He is a fantastic Chair.

Both Joe and his wife Jennifer have dedicated themselves to serving our community.

Joe is a humble leader and a great family man that I consider a confidant and true friend. He is a great fella!

I hope you all have a great time at the National Chair Conference.

Joe,

Your presence as the chair of our group has made our experience so much richer.

You are so genuine and warm. Your dedication to our growth is always present.

You often talk about your calling being to “serve”, and that is so evident in the way you approach the group.

Thank you for taking the time to know us each and take such genuine interest!
