Professional

Aviation, medical research and football may not seem to have a lot in common, but they are all passions of Lynn Bishop.

Prior to joining TEC, Lynn spent six years with Cargojet Canada, a highly successful provider of time-sensitive air cargo created in 2002 from the assets of Winnport, Canada 3000 Air Cargo and Royal Air Cargo.

Before joining Cargojet, Lynn was the President and CEO of Winnport Logistics, the first Canadian all cargo airline to operate scheduled service between Canada and China. In 2003, Lynn relocated from Toronto to his hometown of Winnipeg, taking over the role of Cargojet GM for the Prairie Region. The company has since grown to become one of the most successful air freight operations in North America.

From 1990 to 1996, Lynn was the General Manager at Winnipeg International Airport, where he led a staff of 160, an annual capital expenditure budget averaging $15-20 million and an annual operating budget averaging $5-6 million.

With close to four decades in airport and air carrier management, as well as time as President of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club and Board Chair of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, Lynn brings a varied and extensive career history into his role as a TEC Canada Chair.

TEC Group Vision

Lynn’s TEC Group is united by a desire for continuous learning and professional development, along with a willingness to share ideas.
