Hello!
A Little Bit About Me
With over 25 years of experience as a trusted advisor to CEOs, presidents, small business owners, and leaders of large enterprises, I have played a pivotal role in helping individuals and organizations nationwide create a remarkable impact. Now, with a diverse range of experiences to transform leaders in a multitude of industries, I have consciously chosen to take on the role of a TEC Chair to share my expertise and embark on a meaningful new journey.
My notable career at PwC Canada began in 1985, and I became a partner in 1996 with Coopers & Lybrand, and after the historic merger with Price Waterhouse, I continued as a partner with PwC. In 2005, I moved to Calgary to lead the Private Company Services team and served as PwC’s Leader for Real Estate Services. In this role, I Specialized in financial reporting processes, accounting, tax, and business issues. My client experience spanned cities across Canada and the UK, providing me with invaluable insights and a deep understanding of various businesses and economies. Additionally, I served on the Board of PwC for eight years, where I contributed to various committees, including Governance, Finance, and Partner affairs, solidifying my understanding of governance needs and operational growth, as the board exhibited oversight of operations for one of the largest professional services firms in Canada.
For decades, I interacted with numerous TEC members who were also my clients at PwC. Observing firsthand how TEC membership empowered CEOs to grow personally and enhance their businesses, I naturally gravitated to the role of TEC Chair to continue my passion for working with CEOs. By joining my group, you can promptly leverage my experience and expertise while being surrounded by high-performing peers committed to personal and professional excellence, helping you achieve the same.
On a personal note, I live in Calgary with my wife and have four adult children. An avid golfer in the summer and skier in the winter, I still find time to play two to three hockey games a week. I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA, CMA) with a MACC and BA (Hons) from the University of Waterloo. Additionally, I hold the Institute of Corporate Directors Director (ICD.D) designation.
