Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing Events Coordinator will work closely with TEC’s marketing team, and the TEC Chair community to execute an events strategy designed to enhance and grow TEC’s membership. This position is a member of a multi-faceted team responsible for a project management approach when coordinating and disseminating event information to operational teams.

Events Management

• Responsible for the project management of marketing events including but not limited to venue sourcing and booking, contract management, food and beverage selection, equipment rental coordination, travel booking and management, audience research, coordination of regional contractors, internal and external event communications, attendee management, material preparation, prospect follow-up coordination, ROI calculations, and event evaluation

• Support onsite logistics, program assets, setup, tear down and connecting with key contacts for on day events

• Execute quarterly in-person and virtual events regionally, with a purpose of creating impactful experiences for TEC attendees

• Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process

• Complete preparation of events strategy, budget, KPIs, and ROI for evaluation with the Marketing and Communications Manager, and TEC Leadership Team

• Work with the key stakeholders to promote all events to ensure optimum attendance, awareness, and effectiveness of each event

Critical analysis of all events to ensure they are aligned with TEC’s strategies, direction, and overall budget considerations

• Administrative Processing of purchase orders and invoices plus budget tracking related to the marketing events

• Develops and maintains appropriate, up-to-date planning documents including events strategy, event tracking, and CRM database prospect updates


• Evaluation of existing processes to identify opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency

• Identify value add opportunities for TEC’s community of members, Chairs, and prospects

• Identify new program opportunities and/or enhancements

• Project management of various initiatives

• Excellent event planning and project management skills for in-person and virtual events

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in event management.

• University Degree in Marketing preferred, with extensive experience in marketing, communications and event management and or equivalent work experience.

• A talent of working effectively with time sensitive deadlines and manage several concurrent projects on time and on budget

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of polish and professionalism

• Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders and senior leaders

• Strong technical skills in Microsoft office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Dynamics and Outlook
