Petra Hillebrand is an accomplished senior executive with expertise in business integration, operational excellence, and process improvement. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned organizations such as Canopy Growth Corporation, Citoxlab, and Altasciences, where she effectively integrated new acquisitions and executed programs for sustained development, which in turn supported the growth of these organizations.

At Altasciences, Petra led the successful integration of two new clinical sites in the U.S. and was responsible for the operational management of four departments. Her strategic leadership led to a 25% increase in the revenue of the Biometry Department and a 50% improvement in the employee engagement score of the Recruiting Department. Petra also instilled a culture of continuous improvement by deploying a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training program for managers and implementing a company-wide performance metric aligned with the objectives outlined in the strategic plan.

Petra’s expertise was also sought after at Canopy Growth Corporation, where she worked closely with leadership to integrate new European acquisitions and developed rapid integration plans. At Citoxlab, she demonstrated her exceptional skills in contract management, operational excellence, consensus building, and business strategy by integrating the systems and processes of a U.S. acquisition into Canadian operations.

Petra’s distinguished career spans over 30 years and has earned her teams the Bronze medal at the Grands Prix Québécois de la Qualité (2014) and the Bronze medal for Quality at the Canadian Award Excellence (2015), the most coveted organizational awards program in Canada for recognizing outstanding achievement. Now, she is focused on mentoring the next generation of leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs. Through her TEC Small Business group, Petra is keen to help each member refine their goals, perfect their leadership skills and create a roadmap to exceed the heights of their personal and professional visions.

• Is proud to have raised five kids who are now amazing young adults and emerging leaders in society.
• Enjoys travelling and previously embarked on a five-week tour through Colombia, South America, with the whole family, exploring the jungles of the Amazon to the desert of the northeastern Caribbean coast.
• Passionate about cooking and baking, and rediscovered knitting during the pandemic. For all hobbies, if it sounds challenging, she knows it’s for her!
