Les Postnikoff has seen it all. In over 30 years of business experience, he has worked with or led large and small businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, early stage start-ups and organizations in extreme need of a makeover. No matter the corporate environment, the approach of this determined, entrepreneurial leader has always been to add value and build trust with customers, employees and stakeholders. His passion extends to whatever he does, whether it’s coaching golf, or rising to the challenge of running an ultra-marathon.
Les experienced years in the corporate management trenches with multi-national companies such as GE, Electronic Data Systems, and Bentley Systems. At Bentley, he was responsible for a division with 1100 employees and $200 million in revenue. Striking out on his own almost 15 years ago, he launched PV Management Services, a strategic management consultancy through which he continues to offer specialized services, coaching and mentorship. He also pursued his dream of owning a golf course, buying and running Paradise Valley Golf Course in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Within a few years of Les buying the course, Paradise Valley doubled its revenues, cementing his standing as both a golf coach and entrepreneur.
In addition to formally studying the art of coaching, Les has obtained several leadership and sales certifications, and now he is turning his years of business, coaching and mentorship experience to the role of TEC Chair.
TEC Group Vision
Les enjoys transforming esoteric business concepts into practical strategies. He believes that every individual has significant untapped potential and that developing that personal potential is directly related to the progress and success of our business organizations. His vision for his TEC Small Business group on Vancouver Island is to make the TEC concept accessible for members from any industry or background. In addition to helping members to establish and reach business goals, this strategic coach and mentor will share some of what he has learned about values, the brand promise, customer relations, and operational issues such as pricing and cost – in order to help members reach their full personal and business potential.
Les is married to Dawn and they have 5 children ages 16 to 25 (Mandy, Samantha, Danielle, Alex and Ronnie.) He is a certified professional golf instructor who loves teaching golf. As an active community volunteer, Les has served as the president of a minor sports association, as well as serving as a Director of the Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Alliance and Habitat for Humanity. He is a lifelong athlete who has played competitive hockey, football and baseball and has completed several marathons and an ultra-marathon.
