As an author, international trainer and consultant, Genella Macintyre has dedicated her life to empowering others and improving their quality of life, personally and professionally.

Genella holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brandon University and a Master of Arts degree in Applied Social Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. Additionally, she’s completed certificates in Coaching and Mediation Skills, Enneagram, Strength Deployment Inventory, Personality Dimensions and Emotional Intelligence (EQi2.0), and is qualified in Myers-Briggs Type Inventory and Life-Styles Inventory.

In 1993, she co-founded Partners in Discovery Ltd. with her business partner, Lynda. For over three decades, they have offered workshops and resources for organizations to develop a productive, profitable and psychologically safe workplace.

As a TEC Canada Chair, Genella works collaboratively to understand and help each member reach their goals and define their road to success. In her experience, satisfied employees are the key to a successful company, and Genella instils in her members how to establish relationships, understand what motivates people and inspire their teams.

Genella welcomes members who are future-oriented and have a desire to reach the next level of their business, whether they are just starting out or looking to expand. Her definition of success is seeing those around her succeed.

  • Genella has a life partner, Doug, and canine and feline “kids” including her dog, Tucker
  • Genella has authored a book on stress management, 5 Steps to Reducing Stress: Recognizing What Works, and a book on enhancing soft skills in leaders, Soft Skills for Tough Cookies
  • She also launched a children’s book based on her dog called Tucker Times: The Chase
