For over three decades, Byron Bergren has led teams to peak performance across a multitude of industries – including hospitality, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, energy, telecommunications, oil and gas, and several aggregates by consulting. An advocate for the benefits of being a lifelong learner, Byron’s high-value track record of executive leadership roles has made him a coveted resource for the development of agile, future-ready leaders.

During his early professional career, Byron led sales teams at vertically integrated utility and telecommunication companies including SaskTel and Enmax Energy Corporation. His advancement to executive leadership saw him launch the first sales organization for Direct Energy Business and assume responsibility for the organization’s profits/losses throughout Western Canada. Later in his career, Byron leveraged his passionate entrepreneurial mindset to become part-owner and Director of Business Development at Standard Land Company Inc.

Recently, Byron held an executive role at PwC Canada where he led Calgary’s private company growth strategy and achieved 21% revenue growth for the 2020 fiscal year alone – despite the challenges of a global pandemic and local recession. As an individual contributor for PwC Canada, Byron also consistently over-achieved revenue targets and earned the highest possible performance rating for five consecutive years.

Byron acknowledges that several mentors and coaches have helped him succeed throughout his career that has accomplished multimillion-dollar growth for public companies, private companies, and his entrepreneurial ventures alike. Now, by assuming the role of TEC Chair, Byron couldn’t be more qualified and prepared to be a trusted coach for today’s CEOs, presidents, owners, and leaders. Whether it’s finding and fixing blind spots to advance their leadership ability or retooling long-term strategy, the members of Byron’s group will quickly realize the impact of his relentless commitment to helping them strengthen their decision-making capabilities and navigate today’s dynamic business world with unprecedented success.
