Professional

Competitive rowing is a punishing physical activity, a tough mental workout – and a former sport of TEC Chair Bob Sinclair. So is exercising thoroughbreds at an all-out gallop, a passion that’s still with him from his days as an amateur jockey. The same energy, mental rigor, courage and commitment Bob puts into his physical pursuits – which now include skiing and cycling – drive his successful 25+ year business career and role as TEC Chair.

Prior to joining TEC, Bob began his career with the Jim Pattison Group, enjoying almost two successful decades with the company. His keen competitive edge and drive for success quickly put him on the fast track, moving from junior sales positions to ultimately become the president of Pattison Group’s Seaboard Advertising. Within three years of assuming the presidency of a second Pattison Company, Trans Ad, Bob doubled the original sales target.

In 1999, Bob became a TEC Chair and for over 19 years has helped more than 100 members. Some have been in his group for more than 12 years. He is part of our TEC community in British Columbia whose member companies represent approximately 21,000 employees and $9 billion in cumulative annual revenues; demonstrating TEC’s clear ability to move Canadian business forward.
