Arnaud Soupa is recognized as a dynamic entrepreneur and advisor in corporate financial management. His 20-year career includes the role of Management Consultant with PwC and several senior executive positions at Veolia – the global leader in optimized resource management, with nearly 179,000 employees worldwide. As Chief Finance Officer at Veolia in Canada, Arnaud actively participated in the development and financial closing of 3 Canadian infrastructure projects with a total $570M project finance investment.
Arnaud’s diverse work experience, which has taken him around the world, has translated to a leadership style that is well versed in navigating different cultures, stakeholders, and work environments. His global experience within the realm of corporate finance, combined with his experience with small businesses and startups, has made him well-equipped for the role of a TEC Canada Chair.
In addition to a long list of accomplishments related to driving financial performance, Arnaud is also motivated by a sense of purpose. This is illustrated by his tenure at Veolia, where he engaged in numerous projects on circular economy, maximization of resources, and reduction of greenhouse gases.
Arnaud’s public-spirited nature is further demonstrated by his dedication to Kidsprojects – which he launched in 2018. Kidsprojects was created to support the development of soft skills in children and best prepare them for the future, as the rise of technology is challenging the value of traditional education and academic skills.
Arnaud’s global corporate finance experience actively shaped his aptitude for leadership and corporate governance, in both profit and not-for-profit environments. With a self-professed passion for education and continuous learning, Arnaud always has his finger on the pulse of the most effective skills and insights for business leaders to be their professional and personal best.
