The Speaker Programs Advisor will provide support to TEC’s Speaker Specialist & Education Manager scheduling the global speaker community for TEC Chairs (Executive Coaches). This individual will have the opportunity to shape the overall TEC Canada learning experience for TEC members and will interact with a wide variety of stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strong relationships with Executive Coaches (Chairs) to understand the needs and assess the right fit of speaker that will engage and positively impact our TEC member groups
  • Partner with Chairs to coordinate meeting dates & speaker requests while actively engaging in group program planning for speakers and resources
  • Support in building individual group curriculum annually in coordination with Chairs
  • Leverage input from Chairs, members, to successfully guide and schedule speaker programs for TEC groups
  • Continuous improvement of scalable processes and systems to expand the TEC educational experience
  • Assist in the implementation of the speaker strategic plan and multi-year roadmap
  • Liaison and manage travel expenses within a pre- approved budget
  • Cross-functional support and back-up to Operations team members
  • Collaborate with Meeting Support to ensure that all meeting materials are in place well in advance of Chair Group Meetings
  • Work collaboratively with the Chair Support team with Onboarding the Chair to become familiar with the current Speaker expense guide policy, including budget expectations and parameters are understood

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education preferred but combination of experience and education considered. 5 years of progressive experience in a relevant field (post-secondary settings, tourism, education, learning & development)
  • Understanding of learning behavior and executive education
  • Ability to establish strong rapport with C-Suite level partners through candid conversations
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload
  • You can adapt quickly to changing projects and the pressure of a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel
  • Understanding of CRM; preferably Microsoft Dynamics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual French/English a desired asset, but not required
