12 Month Maternity Leave Contract

In this role you’re responsible for the full range of Human Resources functions including culture, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, change management, and documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Initiation, facilitation, and promotion of culture initiatives throughout the organization
  • Full cycle recruitment including: job description creation/modification; postings on Indeed, LinkedIn, and TEC website; resume screening; interview set-up and participation; references and final vetting; offer; and onboarding
  • Benefits administration including team member applications/changes/exits reviews
  • Compensation management including: sales team commission calculations and reviews; collaboration with payroll department on salary changes; annual bonus plan support including calculations, letters/communication, and administration; annual salary review management including salary change form preparation, collection, review, and administration; and tracking of monthly referral and launch payments using Excel
  • Performance management including the coordination, consultation, and administration of annual SMART Goals performance reviews (including mid-year review)
  • Management of contract needs including independent Contractor agreements, employment contracts, transition agreements, confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, and any other contracts as needed
  • Maintenance and creation of training and development initiatives including internal TEC Inside program, use of Alberta Job Grants, and other training and development opportunities
  • HR Administration including: Employee Manual management and updates, employment letters, exits, and administration of internal tools such as DiSC profile assessments and TribeHR
  • Quarterly board report preparation in collaboration with CFO and Senior Executive Assistant
  • Support and back-up to Senior Executive Assistant
  • Other tasks and projects as needed
  • Reception relief duties as needed

Experience & Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • HR and/or Change Management Certification an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Analytical problem-solving approach
  • Ability to effectively multi-task with strong organizational skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Dynamics etc.)
  • Highly conscientious
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Flexibility with respect to job duties
  • Engaging and helpful personality
  • Demonstrates genuine concern for stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
